Peter Tinholt is the General Manager Asia Pacific for Taura Natural Ingredients, recently acquired by global food ingredients company Frutarom. Taura is a Bay of Plenty success story, having evolved from a Citrus Grower Co-op in the 1970’s, to a high value fruit based ingredients company using it’s world class, Tauranga developed technology called Ultra Rapid Concentration (URC®). Using this technology Taura has expanded globally with sales to over 50 countries, a second factory in Belgium and sales offices in Belgium, German, UK and US. Taura supplies many of the leading cereal, snack bar, chocolate, confectionery and biscuit manufacturers.
Peter has an extensive background in the food and food ingredients sectors having had executive roles at Mother Earth, Delmaine Fine Foods, Cadbury Schweppes and Taura. Peter has received numerous awards including a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow, Rotary District 9330’s Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award, and recently the Institute of Director’s Aspiring Director Award. Peter is highly focussed and driven. He has completed 6 Ironman Races and has twice been selected to represent NZ at Long Course Triathlon. In the process he has raised nearly $100,000 for charity.
